In the starting town (Forest City), go to the pond screen (one screen
up and right from the start). Here, press C to open the
menu, select Use Tools with A, then select
your money ($1000coin at the start) with
A, then select Use with
A, then back out of the menus by pressing B or
C twice. Position yourself on the tile just left of the bridge
at the bottom of the pond, then press B to check the
ground. If done correctly, the message Lucky! appears. This
grants 30 EXP. Repeatable indefinitely.
Verified using ROM with CRC32 of 1335ddaa with US
console region.
